The HC-PVE range of Extract Dampers have been fire rated to BS 475 part 8 by the Fire Insurers Research and Testing Organisation. There was no loss of structural integrity even after a 2-hour heating period. They provide automatic shut off of airflow in ducts and voids in the case of fire.
 
HC-PVE dampers are held open by a fusible link, which breaks to allow a spring-loaded mechanism to close the damper and lock it shut when the temperature being handled exceeds a pre-determined limit. Our dampers are equipped with a link which fuses at approximately 72° C. other temperature links are available up 182° C.
 
Motor operation allowing the closing of the damper to be triggered by a remote detector which can be temperature sensitive but also has the ability to respond to other environmental conditions or smoke. Failure of the electric or pneumatic power supply will automatically cause the damper to close. All HC-PVE dampers have frames of top hat section for ultimate strength and stability under load. All frames are manufactured from heavy gauge Zinc coated sheet steel

Fan Chamber Intake Grilles

Due to the environment within underground car parks it is imperative that the fan chamber intake grilles are of heavy robust construction also they need to be designed to create the minimum resistance to air flow.

Due to their size and because of the sturdy nature, intake grilles can often be deemed unsightly by the eventual car park owners. For this reason, PVE has worked with suppliers and customers to create a product that is optimised for airflow whilst retaining its integral strength and offer the product colour matched to the architects or designers original concept. Should the car park owner wish to create a corporate environment this can also be catered for at a minimum cost.

PVE intake grilles are supplied in nominal widths of 1000mm and fabricated to larger sizes by use of pressed steel heavy gauge clips. Odd sizes need to be specified at time of order.
