The Podium is a late 20th century building and car park situated within the Bath conservation area and World Heritage Site, overlooking the River Avon to the east.

The Podium Shopping Centre lies in the centre of the picturesque Georgian district of Bath & is surrounded by a range of charming shops and restaurants including a flagship Waitrose supermarket and the famous Bath Central Library.

Ventilation System – Hybrid Smoke Clearance

 

The fully bespoke hybrid smoke clearance extract system designed for Bath Podium was a challenging full refurbishment project undertaken over 3 levels of car park and entailing a number of meticulously staged installation phases throughout the contract period and including a busy Christmas retail shopping period.

The PVE Eco-Park system included 37 unique, slim-line, dual discharge induction fans, with a total of 46 addressable gas detectors optimising running requirements specific to areas of moderate and high daily parking activity and exhaust gas concentrations.

We are proud to be able to confirm that our system passed all computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling simulations & peer reviews, and that ultimately this fully turnkey project was delivered on programme and on budget.
