First opened in 1878, the Winter Gardens features some of the country’s most distinctive conference and convention spaces including the Empress Ballroom, Spanish Hall, Opera House and the Olympia Exhibition Hall.

Ventilation System | Hybrid Smoke Clearance

In this instance we based our design on installing a very clever ‘mix’ of strategically located soffit mounted induction fans and impulse thrust fans to provide the necessary 10 ac/hr. smoke clearance extract air volume for this busy Loading Bay area.

Having benefitted from being involved from a very early stage on the project, special consideration was also possible as to the size and location of additional fresh air louvre wall openings required, combined with specification and operational advice on the unique bi-fold doors that are to be installed.
